Master’s Degree Programs
Given that Cosmic's founder and many of our consultants hold advanced degrees, we excel at helping students navigate the master's degree application process and confidently assert that we are the best consulting firms for master's program admissions.
To be competitive for a master's program, you need three key elements.
First, a solid undergraduate GPA (3.3+ overall) with particularly strong performance in courses related to your intended field of study.
Second, competitive standardized test scores - typically GRE and subject exam depending on your field. International students generally need to score in the higher percentiles to stand out.
Third, relevant experience that demonstrates your commitment to the field, whether through internships, work experience, or research projects.
Most master's programs require a personal statement in addition to your transcript, recommendation letters, and test scores. The personal statement should clearly articulate your motivation for pursuing a master's degree, highlight your relevant qualifications, explain your interest in that specific program, and outline your career objectives following completion of the degree.
The most common mistake applicants make is being vague about their goals. Your personal statement should demonstrate a clear understanding of how this specific master's program connects to your career trajectory. Avoid generic statements about "passion" or "interest" without substantive evidence of your engagement with the field. Focus on concrete experiences and specific skills you hope to develop.
Given our team's extensive experience with graduate education, we can help you secure admission to your ideal master's program regardless of where you currently stand in your academic journey.

We will help you identify BS/MS programs, where you enter college as a first-year student but graduate in 4 to 5 years with your master's, without having to apply for graduate school separately. We'll help you write your Common App and supplemental essays through brainstorming sessions, in addition to editing, and polishing your drafts. We will also help format your activity list, secure letters of recommendation, prep you for interviews, and provide deferral/waitlist support if needed.
