To Get Into an Elite College…

It isn't enough to be personal.

You need to be practical!

This is the key to being accepted into the most selective colleges.

Every year, elite universities reject more valedictorians, students with perfect test scores, published researchers, and international competition winners than they admit. With far more qualified applicants than seats, admissions officers are not deciding who is good enough. They are deciding which overqualified candidates will bring something the class would otherwise lack.

Our consultants build your child's application around that question. The essays our consultants help your child pen, and the extracurriculars they provide guidance and mentorship in, will compel admissions officers to see them as a must-have presence on campus, one who will elevate the academic and social experience for every other student. We will have your child's teachers and guidance counselors actively advocating on their behalf, making the case for why their addition to the incoming class would significantly increase the incoming class's intellectual and social vibrancy, and help your child communicate how their achievements and interests will make them an irreplaceable part of that class.

What your child gets working with us:

  • RSI, Simons, SSP, BU RISE, and ASSIP each admit a fraction of their applicants, and an acceptance is a credential admissions officers recognize on sight. We guide your child through brainstorming, outlining, and editing program-specific essays so a student admitted to RSI applies to college as a known quantity.

  • The students who get into MIT, Caltech, and Stanford are not taking the hardest courses their high school offers. They are taking courses their high school does not offer. We build a sequence of AP, dual-enrollment, community college, and university extension classes that puts your child two or three years ahead of grade level by application time.

  • Admissions officers can tell the difference between a club membership and a real outcome. We help your child select and build activities that produce evidence: published research, competition results, original projects, measurable impact.

  • Your child's application is read in roughly six minutes. We help your child brainstorm, outline, and refine drafts so each supplement interlocks with the personal statement and the activities list, and the reader closes the file with one coherent picture.

  • Most personal statements answer the prompt. We coach your child through brainstorming, outlining, and revision so theirs answers the question admissions officers are actually asking: what does this student bring that the class would otherwise lack?

  • Generalists get rejected. Spiked applicants get in. We identify the one subfield, problem, or question your child will own, and make it the through-line of every essay, extracurricular, and recommendation. A clear niche makes the admissions decision easy.

What our previous clients say about us

Accepted to Johns Hopkins University

I highly recommend Daniel, both as a consultant and a mentor. I’ve grown as a person using the skills he taught me. I have no doubt that he lives up to the core of his business model: ‘I don’t just want to help my clients get into college, I also want to equip them with the tools that will help them get the most out of life.’

Accepted to Columbia University

Daniel is an amazing consultant and person, and even if I was able to do it all over again with the knowledge I've gained from him, I would still work with him to make my application better.

275 reviews, and 5 stars, on Sundial

He gave really great feedback on my essay, and as a second quartile student with rather mediocre extracurriculars (especially for my school's standards) I was fully accepted into UT Austin. I don't really know how... but I'm sure my essay had to have played a pretty big part.

I highly recommend scheduling a session with Dr. Daniel if you want your application to be perfect. His feedback is invaluable, and he truly cares about helping students succeed. Thank you so much for your help, Dr. Daniel!

Before talking to Mr. Berkowitz I was unsure of my self and my application, but with the help of his expertise we were able to come up with a plan. Thanks to him I feel stronger about my application and have high hopes for next years admissions!
