Bio: Zoe Posner

Zoe is a Yale College graduate in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and is now pursuing an MD-PhD back at Yale. She is trained in cancer biology and molecular biology, and has spent time researching at Weill Cornell, Yale, and the Broad Institute. Outside of her research work, she is interested in health policy, public health, and bioethics.

Zoe has mentored students interested in pursuing medical and MD-PhD degrees. She has also worked with students as a private admissions consultant and as a consultant at CollegeVine, helping students successfully apply to top universities, including Princeton, Cornell, the University of Michigan, and others. Finally, Zoe thoroughly enjoys teaching and has previously tutored high school and college students in the sciences.

What sets Zoe apart is her belief that students should be encouraged to pursue their passions, even when seemingly disparate, and engage in the necessary self-reflection to understand and relay what unites those interests into a cohesive narrative. Zoe believes that a strong underlying passion is a major driver of success. By allowing interests to guide action, she believes that exposure to diverse fields of thought allows for more creative, critical, and unique thinking in one’s primary field of interest. As such, Zoe strives to help students identify, pursue, and concretely achieve in areas that they care deeply about.
